Sweet Corn+Melon Smoothie

   The taste of sweet corn with melon makes a perfect breakfast or pick me up any other time of day.

   I used the concentrated juice of sugar cane to write over the top ,,TSC”. Hope you guess this abbreviation?!

   Honey sugar cane (300 grs) by Ingenio Ntra Sra del Carmen is authentic taste of Spain. It tastes sweet, slightly licorice-like with a small bitter aftertaste.

   Since the corn kernels and the melon tasted sweet, I didn’t have to sweeten it up much.

Here’s the recipe:

  • 1 slice of melon

  • 1 cup of boiled sweet corn kernels

  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil

  • 2 teaspoons of sugar cane honey

  • 80g yogurt ,,Activia”

  • ½ teaspoon of grated fresh ginger

  • leaves of baby spinach (optional)

  • Basil leaves, small slice of melon (for decoration)

Here’s the recipe:

Step 1: Using a knife scrape the corn kernels.

Step 2: Combine all the ingredients in your blender.

Step 3: Blend till thick and creamy.

Step 4: Pour into a glass.

Step 5: Serve it with pleasure!
