Lettuce + Mint Smoothie

   How’s life? What about lettuce for breakfast? Yes! Especially in smoothie form.

   Lettuce and fresh mint is a great combination because of the natural goodness in both.

   Mint, an easy-to-grow herb, has a lot of health benefits you may not be aware of. It’s full of iron, manganese and vitamin A.

   Some of the health benefits of lettuce include lowering cholesterol levels, cancer control, protection of neurons, sleep induction, anxiety control, lowering inflammation, and providing a supply of antioxidants.

   This smoothie has a wonderful citrusy taste from the orange and lemon and a refreshing minty flavor that makes it simply addictive.


Here’s the recipe:

  • 1 handful of lettuce

  • 3-5 stemmed fresh mint

  • 1 banana

  • 3 frozen apricots

  • 1 nectarine

  • 1 orange, juice of

  • 1 tablespoon of bee pollen

  • 1 spoon of lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon of honey

  • Pumpkin seeds, bee pollen, mint leaves (for decoration)


Step 1: Combine all the ingredients in a blender.

Step 2: Blend together until smooth.

Step 3: Pour into glasses.

Step 4: Enjoy!
