Broccoli + Pear + Sour Cherry Smoothie

Broccoli + Pear + Sour Cherry Smoothie

Hey, guys! I love experimenting with new ingredients for my smoothie recipes.

Here I present you the wonderful combination of broccoli with sour cherries + pear + banana.

I know that raw broccoli is hard to tolerate when eaten in its natural state.  But blending with fruits, the taste of raw broccoli is slightly noticeable and you keep its nutrients and antioxidants.

Ingredients:

  • 7-8 broccoli florets, raw

  • ½ pear, peeled

  • 1 large banana

  • 1 cup of frozen sour cherries

  • 100 ml yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds

  • 1 teaspoon of honey

  • 60 ml filtered water

  • Sesame seeds, coconut shavings (topping)

Instructions:

Step 1: Mix all the ingredients in a high-powered blender.

Step 2: Blend together until smooth.

Step 3: Pour into a jug.

Step 4: Enjoy!

So, broccoli is a great source of vitamins K and C, a good source of folate (folic acid) and also provides potassium, fiber…

This lovely vegetable prevents many types of cancer, improves our digestive system, lowers cholesterol, detoxifies the body, prevents allergic reactions, boosts the immune system, protects the skin, prevents birth defects, lowers blood pressure, eliminates inflammation, and improves vision and ocular health.

Pears are a wonderful source of potassium, high in vitamin A, and its subsequent components, like lutein and zeaxanthin, improving digestion, circulation, heart & bone health.

Frozen sour cherries lose none of the nutritional value. They’re stock-full of compounds that stave off inflammation, have antiviral and antibacterial properties, help support heart health, and even fight cancer.

Yogurt makes this sour cherry treat extra filling.

Enjoy this refreshing and healthy drink!

Don’t be afraid to experiment! Good luck!
